Sea Base Florida Keys Ports of Call

 

  • Sea Base sailing adventures, like the Coral Reef Sailing trek, frequently make a midweek port of call at a marina. This provides the cruise a place to get their land legs back, have some food in a local restaurant , use the showers and facilities and it gives the captain a chance to resupply with fuel and food! So where do these crews typically go? Obviously, at least to seamen those familiar with sailing and boating, it would be a Marina. And it has to be a Marina that has a depth and width of waters and channels large enough to accommodate the particular boat.         Consistently one of the top-rated. Locals and visitors rave about fresh pizza, subs, pasta, wings, and salads. Frequently called one of the best in Marathon for delivery.
      • Keys Burger - Excellent ratings, reviewers call them some of the "best burgers in town" , big, flavorful, with options like Hawaiian or classic.     Vessels who are unable to enter these marinas due to draft (too big) will not have a midweek.Banana Bay Marina Marathon The exact midweek day for each adventure can vary based on weather and ocean conditions. Upon arrival, the captain will brief you if and when the vessel will stop for a midweek. If the vessel stops for midweek, crews will clean the vessel, take out the garbage, and ensure that the vessel is secure. Participants will then have access to marina facilities Including restrooms and showers. Crews must stay together during the midweek and may not leave the midweek location. It is the responsibility of the crew leader and adult leaders to ensure that marina rules are followed.

    Crews are responsible for leaving the facilities better than they found them. Youth and adult participants often like to purchase snacks or drinks at their midweek destination. Please plan to bring a limited amount of cash if you would like to purchase snacks. Youth must ALWAYS be accompanied by an adult at midweek destination.
