Sea Base Trip Guides, Checklists, Calculators, Lists, Forms, Tips and More Information
Sea Base has loads of guides, pdf's, PowerPoints,, checklists, cost calculators and more information, but it is mostly darn near impossible to find on their website, so below is a master list to all of their documents with links back to the Sea Base website. There are other guides, too. Some, I produced and put on this website and sometimes I find other independent material, too - links are below! Of course, since Sea Base has 18 different adventures at 4 different locations (Isalmorada, Brinton Center on Big Pine Key, Bahama and St. Thomas) it is important to find the right guides for your specific adventure trip. Paperwork and travel information can vary widely between some adventures, so it’s important to know which program your unit is registered for.

Choose the checklist based on your stage in the process. Each of these is available as an interactive form that you can come back an update at any time, or also as a PDF that you can print out and manually enter and update. You can print out the online one at any time, too.
- Selecting and ordering gear - Gear
Checklist - understanding and shopping for gear for your trip, what to get and where
This checklist shows all gear options, helps you choose what you want. It's a checklist version of the trip guide and packing list pages above - Organizing and packing - final packing checklist - Once you know what gear you want, this allows you to track gear you ordered, and pack your bags. Plus, when you pack to return home, to ensure you haven't forgotten anything.
- Cost Calculator Checklist - This Cost Calculator allows
you to enter the quantity and price of everything you purchase for this trip including sea base fees air
travel and every single item and it will total it up and also provide a checklist to check things off . So
once you know what you want to order if you want to track the cost you could use this checklist . It's also
useful as an estimator since it has this is this is the baseline default prices for everything loaded into
it. If you're thinking about going on AC based trip you can use this to fairly accurately calculate your
total cost per person.
Informational guides
These are almost impossible to find on the Sea Base website, so here are the direct links! Masny are either
PowerPoints or PDF's so there is no "page" on the Sea Base website, it just autmatically downloads, so check
your downloads folder if no page opens.
- Anchor Watch for Sailing Crews
- Boating and sailing terms. learn 'em before you go, ya landlubber!
- FAQs : Sea Base frequently asked questions - the constantly growing FAQs page is here.
- Fishing lures, bait and fishing tips
- Fish Identification Guide
- Galley Patrol for Sailing Crews
- Majestic Depths
- Merit badge requirements to do on a Sea Base trip
- Motion Sickness and Sea Sickness Prevention and Treatment
- Photos from past trips - the Sea Base website has years of them. Pro-tip, ppick a year, then a month, then open the ones that have a scenery phot, rather than a crew pic. The ones that are linked with a crew pphoto often have NADA in them other than a group photo of them standing on land. This is a good one.
